The recommendations of the Verona Declaration regarding the introduction of traditional games and indigenous sports, which embody ICH, into school programmes. BOCCIA, PLJOČKA AND BULIN - next generation TSG project aims to safeguard and promote traditional sports and games by increasing the involvement of children and youth.
Considering the difficulties encountered by traditional sports and games throughout Europe such as the insufficient level of youth involvement in European TSG, youth’s absence of motivation to engage in TSG likely attributed by their ingrained perception that traditional games are often associated to older men, lack of intergenerational integrating perspectives and ETSG’s under representation in the media. For example, the BOCCIA, PLJOČKA AND BULIN - next generation TSG project’s scope, fully aligned with sectorial national strategies and supranational EU policies, the White Paper on Sport and the Action Plan “Pierre de Coubertin”, the EU Work Plan for Sport 2021 - 2024, the Verona Declaration and the objectives and priorities under Key Action 2: Cooperation among organisations and institutions - Partnerships for cooperation of the Erasmus+ Programme.
